My favourite player in the band tonight was Dominic, he manages the rare feat of being powerfully loud with gifted subtlety and is the driving force of the bands feel. Rounding out the set was the crowd rousing ‘superhero’ and set the record straight’.

Absolutely stunning gig. Hope the band enjoyed being back together - and a complete priviledge the official tour started in Glasgow.
For those who didn’t make it, it really was amazing. Good luck for the rest of the tour & festival dates!

Glasgow Gig review pt3
It wasn’t long before they were back out for a 4 song encore including the live favourite ‘yer old’. The band looked genuinely humbled by the crowds’ rapturous cheers and chants! Great first gig back! What are Reef? – a great f***ing rock band!
I am biased though it has to be said. I also had the enormous luck and pleasure to chill at the sound check and chat to the lads. They are genuinely descent fellows and I wish them the best of luck, and hope that there may be new music from them in the near future.

Glasgow Gig Review pt2
Gary’s’ voice was right on the money, he displayed his vocal skills and stage presence with the energy of a youngster. Jack certainly gets into a zone when he plays, he is entertaining and easily the coolest bass player there is! The bands chemistry was obvious and Kenwyn was really reveling in it and shredding with style. My favourite player in the band tonight was Dominic, he manages the rare feat of being powerfully loud with gifted subtlety and is the driving force of the bands feel. Rounding out the set was the crowd rousing ‘superhero’ and set the record straight’.

Glasgo Gig Review pt1
Easily the best gig I’ve been to in a long while, and after their 7 year break, the band looked although they were enjoying it immensely too.
They burst into the set with ‘feed me’ the first song from their first album, then come back brighter, which really should be the name for the tour, by the third/forth song stone for your love’ & ‘I would have left..’ the Glasgow crowd were really bouncing.
We also got a brief rest when Jack took to the acoustic guitar for ‘Mellow’. It hardly seems like they have been away at all, as the tunes flowed, the sound too, was simply awesome.
Mid set was their well known ‘Place your hands’ which got a bit of an extra cheer, and ‘lucky number, a song for me which was reef at the top of their game before their hiatus.
