It’s been 12 long years since Reef last played in Australia but they return in JUNE of this year for a four show national tour!

Starting June 1 at the Metropolis in Fremantle, the band will then fly to the east coast where the tour continues on June 7 at The Hi Fi, Brisbane, June 8 at the Billboard, Melbourne before finishing up with a Saturday night in Sydney at the Metro Theatre.

Gary is “beyond stoked” to be returning to live shows down under and is especially looking forward to trying to bump into Daryl Somers! For those that don’t know the story, back in the twilight years of the show he presented (the entirely crap “Hey Hey It’s Saturday”) REEF were booked to perform two songs, Place Your Hands and Consideration only they didn’t play the latter - reacting to Daryl and friends cruel review of two young kids in the embarrassing segment “Red Faces” - they switched songs at the last moment, live on TV, ram raided through Yer Old and smashed shit up before tearing off stage and into the nearest pub to avoid the rage of the record company! Somers memorably said as they disappeared, “They’ll never work in this town again.” Yer Wrong.

Sadly, the footage appears to be ‘missing’ - although many, many, many other performances from the same era appear all over the web..

This tour is bought to you by the fine people at Select Touring and tickets are now available, check out the live events section!
